History

The Buffalo Tempest entered the APHL as it transitioned from the UHL in it's original form, the Niagara Falls Buffalos.  After a great playoff run in year 1, the team rebranded to the Buffalo Tempest prior to the 2024-25 APHL season.  From there, the Tempest went on to win the entire APHL league championship!
